For me, being a visual communicator means finding creative ways to get people excited about interacting with the identities I help create for my clients. Being a web developer means always staying on top of new technologies and trends as well as being able to problem solve on the go. I love my career because it allows me to blend my interests in writing, photography, art, graphic design, and human interaction.
I have a background in photography (digital, darkroom, alternative printing techniques), creative writing, and studio arts. I have studied art at both The University of New Mexico, and the Santa Fe Community College as well as various other colleges in California. I was initially going to pursue a career in photography, but my interest in the Internet led me to study graphic design and from there, web development.
I grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and have spent the last 12 years living all over the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Oregon. California was a perfect incubator for my career, exposing me to everything from VC startups in Silicon Valley to agency work in San Francisco. During my time in California, I enjoyed visiting places like the De Young Museum, the Google Campus in Mountain View, and Second Saturday in Sacramento. After spending so long at the epicenter of the Internet economy, I decided it was time to return home to New Mexico. Now that I am back in Santa Fe, I look forward to bringing next-generation web development and brand strategy to my home state.
